The List

As you will quickly learn about me, I am a BIG fan of lists.  List-making is a skill I think I’m pretty awesome at.  In addition to helping me keep my life and family in order, lists give me a sense of accomplishment as I tick off the items one by one.  A fully executed list is pure gold in my eyes.

Speaking of gold… Just as in fashion, gold is making a huge comeback in home decor.  Stay with me folks!  I’m not talking about that painful, bright, brassy gold of the early 90’s.  This is a more muted, toned-down and glamorous gold that instantly brightens up a space and provides great contrast to existing decor, not to mention a beautiful glow to most complexions!  As a side note- how chic and soothing is a white and gold space?

4) The side table

A side or occasional table is an easy way to add a little somethin’-somethin’ to a neutral/basic color palette.  The right small table(s) can complete a space and tie together unique pieces throughout the room.

5) The detail

A little box, a small trinket, a book… The details in a room truly make it your own and are a direct representation of your personality and interests.  Make the details count!
