Good Wednesday morning to you!
It’s only the beginning of the week/month and I’ve already managed to royally screw up my scheduling. Don’t you hate it when you have a date/time set in your head, and it just happens to be WRONG! Ugh. Perhaps I should do a better job of pencilling my own life in. Let’s not let my scheduling incompetence throw this post off track too… Yesterday, I promised you two great pencil skirted looks and obviously, I have to deliver!
I’m in love with today’s outfit- it’s the perfect example of hi-low mixing that I swear by: fancy jewels, casual t-shirt, classic pencil skirt and my favorite heels. Oh, and a pop-of-color for good measure. It’s a bold color palate that totally transforms that basic pencil skirt from a casual day look, to a party-ready number. I do love me some black and white.
What I’m Wearing:
J.Crew side-slit pencil skirt / Zoe Karssen ‘Lust’ tee (similar) / J.Crew crystal collar (similar) / Givenchy heels (similar- ON SALE or THESE- ON SALE & BOGO 50% off the whole site!) / Robert Lee Morris hammered gold cuff (similar) / red ostrich clutch
As a styling side-note, I’ve started playing around with knotting t-shirts vs. tucking. I highly recommend you give it a whirl: the waist cinching angles are SO flattering.
So which look was YOUR favorite? How do YOU feel about the circa ’83 t-shirt knot?
