Now that we’re headed into August end-of-summer territory, am I the only person who is thinking about fall style? Nothing against the mostly gorgeous and mild mid-70’s we’ve been experiencing (fist pump to you, Mother Nature!), but I’ve always had a thing for fall. Now that I’ve graduated to a big-girl walk in closet, I’m lucky enough that most of my clothing can be in rotation year round vs. stored away each season. When it comes to transitional dressing, it’s always nice to have as many options as possible. I’m also never quite ready to part with my summer whites and pastels. So what’s a girl to do? Tone-on-tone styling is the easiest way to mix and match summer items that are not-typically fall appropriate in color with deeper, richer shades of the same hue. It’s also a simple way to incorporate different textures like warm cozy knits, leather, etc. that add a ton of interest, not to mention, warmth!
