To The Point: Pointed Toe Flats

How about we s-l-o-w-l-y ease into this week with a simple style solution: pointed toe flats.

Work for you? Ok, good.

Sometimes, my Monday body (and mind) is just not ready for anything overly complicated, or fussy. I want something that keeps me looking pulled together when I’m on the go, yet comfortable at the same time. The current state of my pedicure leaves a lot to be desired as well (no one needs to see THAT!), so clearly I’m killing two birds with one stone here.

So why pointed toe flats, you may be asking? Well, the answer is easy…

They are more flattering.

While the traditional rounded toe ballet flats have been a classic style staple, the roundness of the toe is a bit more gamine and youthful. The round toe combined with the flat sole is also a one way ticket on the “I-Want-To-Look-Shorter-And-Stockier” train. Choo-choooooo!!!

How To Get Away With Wearing Flats Anywhere

To create visual length and continuity with both skirts and pants/jeans, a pointed toe flat can work wonders. The peek of shoe from under a pant hem is just enough to give you the look of coveted long legs. Add a nude toned flat to a bare leg and it looks like your gams go on for miles.

Did I mention flats were comfortable? Even this designer shoe addict will admit that after a long day in heels my feet and legs crave the comfort and cushion of a good pair of flats… and on a Monday, ain’t nobody got time for that.
