Matching Set

For the past year or so, I’ve had my eye on matching sets. What’s easier than when the designer does all of the styling work for you? Little to no thought is required to throw these pieces on and have a great outfit at the ready.

When I saw this matching set hit the sale rack on SHOPBOP, I quickly jumped at the chance to not only score a great party-ready matching set (on serious sale, no less!), but also dip my styling toe into the crop-top trend pool. Yes, I know… crop tops are definitely not for everyone, but a not too flashy version like this I can totally pull off. With just the right amount of skin showing, the crop becomes less of a statement and just adds a bit more visual interest to the graphic lines of this set.

Add on some neutral accessories like my favorite HALSTON HERITAGE clutch (the chain strap is removable!) and TANIA SPINELLI nude single-sole pumps to keep the matching set the focal point of the look and you’re good to go!

By the way, in case you haven’t heard of TANIA SPINELLI, she’s not only an extremely talented designer and a lovely person overall, but she’s recently been appointed as the head shoe designer for TAMARA MELLON. If the name TAMARA MELLON sounds familiar, it’s because she was the original brains behind JIMMY CHOO and now the owner of her own eponymous designer label. Yeah, totally serious shoe business and definitely one to watch.

Have you embraced the matching set trend?
