As you’re probably aware, sweaters and denim are a huge part of my wardrobe.
This season, I’m trying to mix up my cold weather uniform and get a bit more mileage out of those oversized & chunky sweaters I love so much. I’ve been playing with proportions and mixing and matching pieces in my closet to create fresh combinations and keep me from falling into an inevitable style rut later this winter.
No matter how amazing a wardrobe a woman may have, it’s a fact that by the end of the winter we hate it all and are so sick of the “same old thing.” I consider today’s styling exercise a preventative measure to keep wardrobe fatigue at bay.
Hmmm…. wardrobe fatigue… perhaps I should trademark that?!
I love the way this street style star mixed up a look we are all comfortable with to create something a bit more unique. Do you know what one thing makes this look work so well?

Just like an oversized turtleneck looks great when paired with a slim fitting denim, this sweater looks just as good matched up with a skinny midi skirt! If midi is not exactly your speed, no worries. Try a fitted denim mini instead. Oh, and as the temperatures dip, this outfit would look equally as great when worn with a thick tight.
