No Fail Style For When You Need To Kill It!

no-fail-style-for-when-you-need-to-kill-it

When it comes to personal style, we spend the majority of our time in a relaxed cruise-control. However, there are those few, decisive, life moments that require a bit more attention on our part.

From professional interviews, to first dates and yes, even high school reunions (my own is coming up this summer — yikes!) we all have moments when first impressions are everything. As mentally prepared as we may be, it’s important to have an arsenal of no fail style for when you need to kill it! Outfits that make us look and feel great, make us hold our heads a little higher, walk a little taller and ooze confidence we never knew we had.

Building those “killing it” outfits can be simplified with one item every woman should have in her closet — a suit. Now, forget everything you’ve ever associated with women in suits — this is not WORKING GIRL. A pant suit can be modern, elegant and feminine and can be easily split up into separates to work magic in your wardrobe. Even if you don’t work in a corporate environment, or don’t work outside the home at all, I am still an advocate of owning a single, impeccably fitting, miraculously slimming suit.

Here are 3 foolproof looks using the infamous suit when you truly need to “kill it!”

A quick style note re: suiting…

Not all suits are created equal! If you want a pant suit that will stand the test of time, make sure to invest a bit more to afford the best quality fabrication. Wool blends are always the best bet for their all-season material, as well as their ability to withstand wrinkling and creasing. A hip length jacket with a deep sharp lapel is generally the most flattering (1-2 buttons), while slim-fit, straight leg pants will be easiest to transition from work to play.

Now, go get ’em tiger!
