We all joke about how we go into Target for one small thing and come out with 5 shopping bags of stuff.
Well, really it’s no joke. It’s reality.
Last week, I went in for bug repellant spray and came out with a shopping cart loaded with things I never knew I needed. Perhaps the most exciting part of my haul was an oversized, plaid, blanket scarf… FOR $7!!!
Target’s Bullseye Playground — the Target marketing geniuses’ name for the dollar bins found at the front of the store — has always been a huge lure. Where else can you buy decor, crafting and stationary accessories galore for $1?! However, I never expected to uncover on-trend fashion mixed in with the rustic wooden baskets and metallic pumpkins.
Over the past 3 years, blanket scarves have become a cold weather staple — just a quick search on INTEREST will confirm that! The cozy, fluffy wrap is an easy way to add a punch of color and pattern to all of your fall looks, no matter how basic. For $7, you’ve really got nothing to lose.
Unfortunately, Bullseye Playground finds aren’t available for purchase online, so you’ll need to head on over to your local TARGET to scope out the scarf situation. West Side Cleveland folks, the Rocky River Target had a bin full of them as of a week ago, both in my camel plaid as well as a more monochromatic navy plaid version.
If you can’t find these Target blanket scarf bargain bin gems, I’ve rounded up a bunch of my affordable favorites that are just a point and click away.
