Don’t worry, I’m not becoming one of “those.”
You know, the frou-frou pink hearts and flowers type. Even with Valentine’s Day less than 24-hours away, I’m holding strong to my minimalist, monochromatic ways! Well… except for this February wish list of fashion finds.
Each February, I find myself with the same conundrum: It’s still bitter winter outside, yet my mind is ready to think spring. Color helps me resolve this internal conflict. The varied shades of pink are just enough “spring” to help me transition through the final weeks of winter. They also happen to look pretty killer when paired with the greys, beiges and neutrals that I love.
So, I guess in this case, everyone’s a winner.
Some Style Notes:
Let’s start at the beginning — that PINK COAT (#1) is pretty epic. I love the oversized silhouette! It’s the perfect topper to brighten up any dreary winter morning. The under $100 price tag makes it a no-brainer.
Hoodies and sweatshirts seem to be having a sartorial moment this year. I love the longer styling of the SWEATSHIRT DRESS (#2) — wear it with OVER-THE-KNEE BOOTS if you’re feeling edgy, or keep it casual with cute WHITE SNEAKERS.
Urban Decay’s NAKED line of makeup definitely has its die hard devotees. Now you can take your favorite cult makeup products on-the-go with this handy TRAVEL PALETTE (#6) filled with all of the prettiest shades.
Last summer I fell in love with the MARC FISHER ADALYN — still obsessed with the shoe, by the way. This spring, I think I found my favorite new style, the ZALA PUMP! Although it comes in a number of neutral styles, I think the pink is such a fun shade to give your wardrobe a little zip.
When it comes to swimwear, I’m all about splurging on the suit and saving on the coverup. I was so excited when I spotted this LACE CAFTAN in the prettiest shade of blush. It’s affordable ($58) and pretty enough to wear from beach to cocktails. Sadly, the exact swimsuit pictured(#15) is no longer available, so I linked to another ZIMMERMANN RUFFLED PINK BIKINI that I have total heart eyes for. The wraparound style will visually accentuate your figure and create the illusion of a smaller waistline.
