Most of us already have a few graphic tee favorites in our wardrobes that have been worn dressed up, dressed down and every which way in between. Given that this staple is great for Spring layering and is relatively inexpensive, it makes perfect sense to add a fresh graphic tee into the rotation.
Florals? For Spring!? Groundbreaking. — Miranda Priestley, The Devil Wears Prada
Yes, it’s a little cliche and expected, but Spring just wouldn’t be Spring without a bit of floral. Lately, the fashion forward have been using their florals to add a dash of feminine charm to layered looks involving leather jackets, booties and yes, even layered over those graphic tees we just discussed.
Pretty in Pink
Pink has never really been at the top of my Spring wish list, but this season you’ll be seeing it everywhere and in every shade. If you’re not bold enough to pull off the BRIGHT PINK TROUSER or a SHOCKING PINK BLOUSE, I recommend sticking to simple accessories in a more muted version of this shade.
The basic blouse is not quite so basic this season. This Spring, try a reworked version of the office staple. From modern cut outs, to more frilly off the shoulder styles there are so many updated style options to choose from for both day and/or night.
I’m always an advocate of a good blazer, however this season I’m really attracted to the looser, longer and boxier boyfriend style. Single or double-breasted, this Spring staple is a nice lightweight layer to use to dress up your BASIC STRAIGHT LEG DENIM and GRAPHIC TEE, or even ground one of those ultra-girly FLORAL DRESSES.
