Did you ever fall madly in love with a piece in your closet only to completely forget about it a few months later?
When you’re finally reunited with your long-lost fashion love, a rainbow appears, birds start singing and all is good in the world again. That’s a slightly dramatized version of what happened when I came across my favorite white ankle boots a few days ago.
In all of the summer fun and travel, my beloved white booties got pushed to the back of the closet and completely ignored for way too long. It was only when I was doing my end-of-summer closet clean out that I noticed them sitting pretty among my other winter boots.
Since our August in NE Ohio has been relatively cool, I’ve wasted no time getting these shoes back in the style rotation! White ankle boots are not only chic during transitional seasons, but the lightened up hue make them a no brainer to mix in with your summer wardrobe, as well.
As an added bonus, they’re a nice closed-toe shoe alternative for those times when your packed summer schedule just hasn’t allowed for that much needed pedicure.
(Hey, it happens to the best of us!)
In the case of white ankle boots, there is no right or wrong when it comes to heel height. Whether you prefer a more sensible block heel, or a stiletto of towering height, both are equally fashionable. There is only one thing to stay away from when selecting a white ankle boot: platforms. Even the smallest of platforms will take your modern looking bootie and bring it back into retro 1970’s territory… and not in a good way!
Sadly, my own pair of booties are long sold out (they were a super Spring Sale find at Zara!). However, I was able to track down a few of my favorite in-stock white ankle boots that you can pick up for yourself!
