My 10 Most Worn Fall 2017 Style Staples

10 Most Worn Fall 2017 Staples
Can you believe we’re barreling straight towards Thanksgiving!?

(Heads up turkeys! I’m comin’ for you!)

October totally slipped away from me… and here we are. A little colder, a little wetter and finally experiencing true fall weather after what was a total Indian Summer (a.k.a October).

Each season, I like to share with you the pieces that I’ve personally worn on repeat — you can check out a few of my recent posts HERE + HERE! Sometimes they’re new additions and sometimes they’re the classic investment pieces that I’ve owned for a few years. Isn’t it great when you love something SO much that you can’t wait to wear it over and over!?

This season (Fall ’17), my favorites happen to be an eclectic, neutral mix of textures. Not much bold color or pattern to speak of, but a whole lot of goodness regardless.

(Click on the images below for product details!)

1. Concert T-Shirt

I’ve always loved a concert t-shirt. Recently, with the unexpected passing of some of the more iconic artists, these t-shirts take on a whole new meaning. Some of my favorites include a DAVID BOWIE T-SHIRT, a Rolling Stones t-shirt (I wore it HERE!) and a perfectly fitting LED ZEPPELIN T-SHIRT. They’re graphic and fun, yet still age appropriate.

2. Chelsea Boots

I’m on year 3 of my chelsea boots and going strong! I adore the simple go-with-everything style and most of all, the comfort. Mine are by IRO (sadly no longer available!), but these MARC FISHER BOOTS get rave reviews for their fit and aesthetic. I give them 2 thumbs up for their price tag, too!

3. Chunky Camel Cardigan

I snagged a VINCE OVERSIZED CASHMERE CARDIGAN early this fall and can’t stop wearing it. It’s been worn over a little print DRESS with THESE BOOTS, as well as more casually with my KICK FLARE JEANS or DISTRESSED SKINNY JEANS and a STRIPED TEE. It truly goes with everything.

4. Newsboy Hat

I was reminded how much I love this hat when a woman stopped me over the weekend in the WEST SIDE MARKET to ask me where I got it. I couldn’t even recall where it was found, but I was able to date it to at least 6 years back (I was pregnant!). I’ve been wearing it each fall/winter season since. Luckily for you, NEWSBOY CAPS are all the rage this season. Definitely snag one of your own!

5. Black Kick Crop Jeans

Sometimes you just need to give your skinny jeans a rest and mix up the silhouette a little. I’ve been raving about the fit of these RAG & BONE KICK CROPS to anyone who will listen. They’re super soft, yet don’t stretch out with a few wears. I also think they’re super flattering and look great with all of the fall booties.

6. Grey Cashmere V-Neck Sweater

Neutral? Check. Soft? Check. I’m already sold. I love a slightly oversized fit for my v-necks, so I size up for that slightly slouchy, borrowed-from-the-boys style.

7. Silk Slip Dress

Over the summer I invested in a VINCE HAMMERED SILK SLIP DRESS (I posted about it HERE) and I’ve been getting so much wear out of this simple piece. Most recently, I layered it over a SEMI-SHEER TURTLENECK and wore it with KITTEN HEEL MULES. So chic…

8. Adidas Gazelle Sneakers

My true fall footwear VIPS. Not only do these little ADIDAS GAZELLE go with everything, they’re also extremely comfortable with a surprising amount of arch support.

9. Skinny Distressed Jeans

The distressing is optional, but where would we be without our skinny jeans?! My favorites are by AG — the MID-RISE keeps everything sucked in for the most slimming fit.

10. Camel Moto Jacket

Another season, another moto jacket — this time in a very fall-appropriate suede, camel color. I just might love it as much, if not more than my BLACK LEATHER VERSION. The soft texture and warm color is a great finishing touch to my otherwise predominately cool-toned wardrobe.
