Clearly, that in itself is worth drinking to… Cheers, my friends.
Shall we chat about the master bedroom design?
The room where all the best night’s sleep goes down.
Is it just me, or do all of the most restful, deep sleeps happen in your own bed!? I could be in a penthouse suite of a 5 star hotel, sleeping on 1000 ct. Frette linen, with some magical self-adjusting mattress, but I still won’t sleep as well as I do in my own bed.
So, in case you were wondering, YES, my master bedroom design plan is fairly important to me!
There is no better way to start your week than with the friendly faces and kind words of TSA employees.
Yeah, not so much.
Thankfully, I am now through the gates of JFK Airport security (Hell’s annex), settled into the lounge and enjoying a few minutes of uninterrupted free WiFi before boarding my flight back to Cleveland. My NYC visit was short and very sweet, as we got to celebrate my future sister-in-law at a bridal shower that my mom and I hosted. In addition to the ridiculously delicious pasta at L’ARTUSI, the true VIP of this weekend was definitely IT COSMETICS SUPERHERO LINER.
I rarely get to spend mother-daughter time with my mom without my husband or children in tow, so I’m using this wedding-related weekend getaway (we’re celebrating my future sister-in-law at her bridal shower!) to unwind with my mama. I booked us a hotel suite and we have no other plans aside from shopping, eating, drinking and enjoying each other’s company. I have a mile long list of projects and to-dos waiting for me back home — the moving truck comes on Friday! — but I’m looking forward to tuning out the noise and stress, at least temporarily. Sort of like a real-life “time-out”… but for grown-ups and with booze.

There is always a time and place for sweatpants/yoga pants.
Joggers (THESE are my absolute favorite!) have elevated the comfy staple to new levels and now, with the right styling you can wear those bad boys most anywhere (office or workplace, aside). Now, what if I told you there was an equally comfortable article of clothing that was just as soft, just as easy, but would bring your casual style to a whole new level of chic!?
Question of the day: Is the formal living room officially dead?!
When we went through the process of finding and ultimately buying a house, one of the biggest questions that was thrown around was, do we really need a living room? I’m talking about that more formal sitting space that people used to use a lot back in the day. That is, before open design plans and oversized family rooms with comfy couches and giant 4D flat screen TVS (with surround sound) reigned supreme.
One of my favorite looks of all time has been pretty well documented on this website: a blazer + jeans.
My signature style has definitely been a gradual evolution, shifting from corporate conference room to work from home. However, the one outfit that has remained constant throughout this aesthetic shift is that simple blazer + jeans. Nothing too fashion forward, nothing too fancy, just a combination that I can reach for knowing that it will always look good, no matter the season or occasion.
The good news is that the weekend is here and we can unwind a little of that built up tension/anxiety with some relaxation, self-care and in my case, a cocktail (or three). At least, that’s my plan.
URBAN OUTFITTERS happens to be one of those overlooked retail surprises.
