Remember, I had a cold… and then STREP THROAT? Oh, and remember that little overnight to GERVASI VINEYARD we had planned as a winter treat to ourselves?! Yeah, well… that didn’t quite happen. Influenza got in the way… HARD. Mr. THD and I, along with both our kids’ grandparents (the planned weekend babysitters) went down in quick succession starting Friday morning. Canceling that non-refundable trip was pretty tragic, as was how we felt for most of Friday + Saturday. It’s Monday, and I think I’m finally back with the living, enjoying my first cup of hot coffee since Friday.
Yesterday evening, at a standing monthly get together with a group of diverse and lovely ladies, we got a little errr’…. personal.
After a few cocktails, the topic turned to bedtime routines and more specifically, sleepwear. As in — do you wear any?! As we went around the table, it was surprising (and hysterical) to hear what women actually slept in. More importantly, it was interesting to hear their WHYS.
WARNING: This style is not for the timid or fashion risk averse.
The pajama trend has been creeping its way out of the bedroom and into the closets of stylish women globally over the past few years. Occasionally, a trend goes down a runway for a few seasons before it becomes casually interpreted for real life wear. This happens to be one of those slow-adoption trends that proved slightly more difficult for fashionistas to figure out and make their own.

Well, hello November… a few days late.
With the change in Daylight Savings and the sunsets that are creeping up earlier and earlier it takes a whole lot of motivation to get me out of the house and get social after dark. After the kids are in bed, give me my elastic waist pajama pants, a scoop of MITCHELL’s ICE CREAM (have you tried the new coconut caramel rum cake flavor yet!? DELISH.) and the remote control and I’m in a happy place. It’s also been the ideal time to throw in some beauty pampering — I’ve been testing BORGHESE’s re-released FANGO MUD MASK, but more on that to come!
Perhaps it can be considered typical seasonal nesting? Whatever it is, for my next cozy night in comfort and pampering are key.
